Cloquet Esko Carlton downs Duluth Denfeld, 3-0

James Newgren registered one point to lead the Cloquet Esko Carlton Lumberjacks to a 3-0 victory over the Duluth Denfeld Hunters.

Cloquet Esko Carlton managed to stay out of the box better than usual, registering one minor for two minutes in penalty time. The Lumberjacks wound up below its season average of 7.0 penalty minutes per game. Cloquet Esko Carlton did not reach the goal total it has come to expect this season. The Lumberjacks average 5.6 goals per game. Cloquet Esko Carlton's defense was surprisingly good. The Lumberjacks allow 2.6 goals per game. With 33 shots on target during the contest, Cloquet Esko Carlton exceeded the 2.2 shots it averages per game this year.

Cloquet Esko Carlton also got a goal from Beau Michaud as well. In addition, Cloquet Esko Carlton received assists from Weston Michaud, who had two and Karson Kuhlman and Jack Kuhlman, who contributed one a piece.

Wes Cook made 30 saves for Duluth Denfeld on 33 shots. The Hunters avoided the penalty box for the entire game and scored zero goals off of one power plays.
