Stager's big game bests North Shore in 5-4 Robbinsdale Cooper winRukavina Sat, Dec 29, 2012 Alex Stager was all over the ice for the Robbinsdale Cooper Hawks, as he tallied two goals and two assists in Robbinsdale Cooper's 5-4 win over North Shore. Stager's tallies came at 16:18 into the first period to make the score 3-1 Robbinsdale Cooper and on the power play 11:20 into the third to make the score 5-4 Robbinsdale Cooper.The Hawks kept North Shore's goalie busy throughout the game, and Zach Duresky made 44 saves on 49 shots. Robbinsdale Cooper additionally got points from Trey Rooney, who also racked up one goal and three assists to lead the team in points and Nehwon Norkeh, who also had one goal and one assist. Robbinsdale Cooper also got a goal from Hayden Gautsche as well. In addition, Robbinsdale Cooper received assists from Greg Nightingale, who had one. Robbinsdale Cooper was unable to stop North Shore from sending pucks towards the net, and North Shore eventually piled up 37 shots on goal. North Shore was led by Luke Small, who tallied two goals. Small scored the first of his two goals on the power play at 15:53 into the first period to make the score 2-1 Robbinsdale Cooper. Small's next tally on the power play made the score 4-4 with 12:33 left in the third period. Kory Buckman also scored for North Shore. More assists for North Shore came via Mike Nordean, who had one. The Hawks' Angel Hillstrom stopped 33 shots out of the 37 that he faced. Robbinsdale Cooper finished the contest with no penalties and went 1-for-0 with the man advantage. North Shore ended with no penalties and went 2-for-0 on the power play.
