Irondale penalty kill dominates in 6-3 defeat of St. Michael-AlbertvilleRalph Engelstad Sat, Dec 29, 2012 The Irondale Knights' penalty kill was superb, as Irondale survived multiple penalties to beat the St. Michael-Albertville Knights, 6-3. The Knights surpassed their usual scoring output this season. Irondale averages 2.4 goals per game. The Knights capitalized on St. Michael-Albertville's penalties, netting three goals while skating with a man advantage. Team's forwards weren't the only contributers offensively, and the team's defensemen showcased their scoring touch with three goals. Irondale could not stay out of the penalty box, as the team accrued 18 minutes in penalties during the game. The Knights were helped by Kilen Eilefson, who had one goal and one assist. Eilefson scored 2:19 into the second period to make the score 2-1 Irondale. Leo Skillings picked up the assist. Irondale additionally got points from Logan Johnson, who also registered one goal and one assist and Barrett Reif, who also tallied one goal and one assist. Jack Tuomie also scored for Irondale. More assists for Irondale came via Tony Bridgeman, who had one. The Knights forced Irondale goalie Preston Brandes to work between the pipes, taking 38 shots.
