The Little Falls Flyers' Austin Bjorge had a big offensive game, scoring two goals and contributing one assist in his team's 6-1 win over the Willmar Cardinals.

Bjorge's tallies came at 9:01 into the second period to make the score 2-0 Little Falls and 12:20 into the third to make the score 6-1 Little Falls.

Little Falls racked up the penalties in the contest, and ended with six minors and one major for 17 minutes in penalty time. The Flyers had been averaging 11.0 minutes in penalties per game. Little Falls stifled Willmar's power play, and did not give up a single goal while down a man. The Cardinals were unable to stop the Flyers from sending pucks towards the net, and Little Falls eventually piled up 37 shots on goal.

Little Falls also got points from Ben Newman, who also grabbed one goal and one assist. Others who scored for Little Falls included Luke Majerle, who had one and Mark Anez, who had two. Willmar forced its penalty killing units to work especially hard during the game, picking up six minors and one major for 17 minutes in penalty time. The total exceeded the 9.0 minutes per game the Cardinals had been spending in the box. Willmar could not produce up to it normal offensive output. The Cardinals average 4.2 goals per game.

Willmar was led by Cole Hagen, who scored the team's only goal. Hagen scored 11:21 into the second period to make the score 2-1 Little Falls. Cole Block assisted on the tally.

The Flyers' Michael Stumpf stopped 16 shots out of the 17 that he faced. Little Falls registered one goal on five power play opportunities. Joey Benson made 31 saves for the Cardinals on 37 shots. Willmar registered zero goals on five power play opportunities.
