The Burnsville Blaze and the Breck School Mustangs skate to 4-4 (OT) tieSchwan Cup Fri, Dec 28, 2012 Breck School found itself down againt Burnsville, but battled back to secure to a 4-4 (OT) tie. The Blaze put up an impenetrable defensive front on the penalty kill, and did not allow the Mustangs to score on any of their four power plays. Burnsville put 30 shots on net during the contest, more than the 1.7 it averages per game. The Blaze were led by Dan Ames, who finished with three goals. Burnsville also got a goal from Cole Borchardt as well. Other players who recorded assists for Burnsville were Anthony Rikberg, who had two and Adam Schweitzer, Brock Boesser, and Sam Dockry, who each chipped in one. Breck School forced Burnsville goalie Chris Mallon to work between the pipes, taking 36 shots. The Mustangs were led by Michael Orke, who finished with two goals. Orke scored the first of his two goals at 2:05 into the first period to make the score 1-0 Breck School. Ben Gleekel assisted on the tally. Orke's next tally made the score 4-3 Burnsville with 7:12 left in the third period. Mark Sharp picked up the assist. Breck School additionally got points from Sharp, who also registered one goal and one assist. Matt Colford also scored for Breck School. In addition, Breck School received assists from Chase Ellingson, Lucas McCormick, Thomas Lindstrom, Tyler Lindstrom, Justin Paulson, and Parker Montgomery, who contributed one a piece. Mallon rejected 32 shots on goal for the Blaze. Burnsville incurred eight minutes in penalty time with four minors. Breck School's Henry Johnson stopped 26 shots out of the 30 that he faced. The Mustangs incurred four minutes in penalty time with two minors.
