Huge game by Kuhlman boosts Cloquet Esko Carlton over Owatonna, 5-1

Jack Kuhlman had two goals and one assist to lead the Cloquet Esko Carlton Lumberjacks to a 5-1 victory over the Owatonna Huskies.

Kuhlman scored short handed at 10:37 into the first period to make the score 2-0 Cloquet Esko Carlton and again while 12:16 into the third to make the score 5-0 Cloquet Esko Carlton.

Cloquet Esko Carlton stifled Owatonna's power play, and did not give up a single goal while down a man. Team's forwards weren't the only contributers offensively, and the team's defensemen showcased their scoring touch with four goals. The Lumberjacks put 39 shots on net during the contest, more than the 2.6 they average per game.

Cloquet Esko Carlton additionally got points from Beau Michaud, who also racked up one goal and one assist and Tanner Robideaux, who also had one goal and one assist. Drew Dincau also scored for Cloquet Esko Carlton. More assists for Cloquet Esko Carlton came via Weston Michaud, Dylan Michaud, and Ryan Lind, who contributed one a piece.

The Huskies' offense were handcuffed by Cloquet Esko Carlton's defensive play, and Owatonna managed only 12 shots on goal during the game.

Justin Ketola made 11 saves for the Lumberjacks on 12 shots. Cloquet Esko Carlton incurred eight minutes in penalty time with four minors. Luke Ebeling recorded 34 saves for the Huskies. Owatonna incurred 10 minutes in penalty time with five minors.
