Prior Lake uses early goal to top Andover, 2-0Schwan SR-4 Thu, Dec 27, 2012 The Prior Lake Lakers took the lead against the Andover Huskies in the first period and maintained it until the end of the game to secure a tight 2-0 victory. A goal 55 seconds into the the first period by Austin Hill proved to be the game winner, and powered Prior Lake to the victory Will Reedy provided the assist.Jordan Moran frustrated Andover's offense all game, and stopped 31 shots en route to a shutout. Moran managed to improve on his goals against average, which stood at 2.33 prior to the game. The Lakers were paced by Hill, who registered one goal. Prior Lake's defensive play was more effective than usual against the Huskies. The Lakers gives up 2.2 goals on average per game. Andover was unable to stop Prior Lake from sending pucks towards the net, and the Lakers eventually piled up 32 shots on goal. Blake Busch also scored for Prior Lake. In addition, Prior Lake received assists from Lincoln Eiter, Jack Murphy, and Ben Keckeisen, who contributed one a piece. The Huskies could not produce up to they normal offensive output. Andover averages 2.3 goals per game. The Huskies' offense rang up 31 shots on Prior Lake's net. The Lakers totaled 12 minutes in penalty time with one minor and two majors and went 1-for-3 on the power play. Chase Perry made 30 saves for Andover on 32 shots. The Huskies totaled 24 minutes in penalty time with two minors and two majors and went 0-for-2 on the power play. For Andover, Zach Sitarz was ejected from the game.
