Hill-Murray rolls over North High, 6-0Aldrich Arena Sat, Dec 22, 2012 The Hill-Murray Pioneers had a three-goal lead after two periods and cruised the rest of the way en route to a 6-0 win over the North High Polars. Hill-Murray's penalty kill excelled, as the Pioneers gave up zero goals despite allowing six power plays. Hill-Murray was paced by Zach LaValle, who racked up one goal and one assist. LaValle scored 6:03 into the first period to make the score 1-0 Hill-Murray. Ryan Black picked up the assist. The Pioneers stifled North High's power play, and did not give up a single goal while down a man. Hill-Murray's offense rang up 49 shots on the Polars' net. The Pioneers surpassed their usual scoring output this season. Hill-Murray averages 3.8 goals per game. Hill-Murray also got points from Mitch Slattery, who also had one goal and one assist to lead the team in points. Dustin Krueger also scored for Hill-Murray. Other players who recorded assists for Hill-Murray were Sam Becker, who had two and Zach Mills and Coten Greeder, who contributed one a piece. John Dugas rejected 16 shots on goal for the Pioneers. Hill-Murray incurred 12 minutes in penalty time with six minors. North High's Mario Bollman stopped 43 shots out of the 49 that he faced. The Polars ended with 25 minutes in penalty time with five minors and one major.
