Jacobs stymies Anoka, South St.Paul wins 2-1

The South St.Paul Packers relied on the sparkling performance of Kyle Jacobs in net to grab a 2-1 win against the Anoka Tornadoes.

South St.Paul was sparked by Cameron Buhl, who registered one goal. Buhl scored 16:12 into the second period to make the score 2-1 South St.Paul.

The Packers put up an impenetrable defensive front on the penalty kill, and did not allow Anoka to score on any of its three power plays.

Alec Miller also scored for South St.Paul. More assists for South St.Paul came via Nick Jerhoff, who had one.

The Tornadoes were led by Andrew Dallum, who scored the team's only goal. Dallum scored 1:31 into the second period to make the score 1-0 Anoka. Cody Pinewski assisted on the tally.

South St.Paul's Jacobs stopped 28 shots out of the 29 that he faced. The Packers incurred six minutes in penalty time with three minors. Robbie Goor made 22 saves for Anoka on 24 shots. The Tornadoes incurred six minutes in penalty time with three minors.
