The Windom Area Eagles relied on the scoring touch of Travis Janssen, who netted four goals, to beat the Waseca Bluejays, 6-2.

Janssen got on the scoresheet 5:21 into the first period. He then added goals at 10:22 into the first, at 13:52 into the first, and at 4:03 into the second.

Windom Area excelled on the penalty kill, not giving up a single goal in four chances. The Eagles kept Waseca's goalie busy throughout the game, and Austin Stroda made 33 saves on 39 shots.

Windom Area also got a goal from Devin Neilsen as well. More assists for Windom Area came via Alex Leopold, Kyle Luhmann, Mitchell Macek, and Eric Haberman, who each chipped in one and Stuart Schumacher and Zach Bartosh, who contributed two a piece.

The Bluejays were led by Cody Ulfers, who had one goal. Ulfers scored 3:24 into the first period to make the score 1-0 Waseca. JP Eykyn provided the assist. Jack Paczkowski also scored for Waseca. In addition, Waseca received assists from Jesse Ungs, Michael Kunz, and Wyatt Krampitz, who each chipped in one.

Tyler McGowan made 24 saves for Windom Area on 26 shots. The Eagles incurred 10 minutes in penalty time with five minors. Waseca ended with 19 minutes in penalty time with two minors and one major. For the Bluejays, Michael Priebe was ejected from the game.
