New Ulm blows out Dodge County, 7-3

The Dodge County Wildcats had trouble finding ways to stop the New Ulm Eagles, which beat Wildcats, 7-3.

With three goals and two assists between them, Blake Neumann and Cole Dulas teamed up to power New Ulm's offense. Neumann racked up one goal and two assists and Dulas also added two goals.

The Eagles put up an impenetrable defensive front on the penalty kill, and did not allow Dodge County to score on any of its three power plays. New Ulm forced the Wildcats goalie Mitch Sobotta to work between the pipes, taking 39 shots. The Eagles' goal total was higher than their season average. New Ulm has scored at the pace of 3.9 goals per game during the current campaign.

New Ulm also got points from Wyatt Peterson, who also registered two goals and one assist and Ethan Kraus, who also finished with two goals and one assist. In addition, New Ulm received assists from Brandon Helget, who had three and Mitch Neid and Colin Huffman, who each chipped in one.

Dodge County was led by Samuel Robinson, who tallied three goals. More assists for Dodge County came via Benton Westom, who had one and Tanner Dufault, who had two.

Brach Kraus rejected 17 shots on goal for the Eagles. New Ulm incurred eight minutes in penalty time with four minors. Sobotta recorded 32 saves for the Wildcats. Dodge County ended with 18 minutes in penalty time with four minors and two majors.
