Connor leads Philadelphia over Buffalo, 11-1

The Philadelphia Revolution's Chris Connor had a big offensive game, scoring two goals and contributing three assists in his team's 11-1 win over the Buffalo Stars.

Connor found the back of the net 5:56 into the second period to make the score 3-1 Philadelphia and again while 18:53 into the third to make the score 10-1 Philadelphia.

Buffalo's power play was ineffective against Philadelphia's penalty kill, which allowed zero goals while shorthanded.

The Revolution excelled on the penalty kill, not giving up a single goal in six chances. Philadelphia forced the Stars goalie Lawson Fenton to work between the pipes, taking 42 shots. The Revolution bested their season scoring average. Philadelphia has scored at the pace of 5.4 goals per game during the current campaign. Team's forwards weren't the only contributers offensively, and the team's defensemen showcased their scoring touch with three goals.

Philadelphia additionally got points from Justin Goldstein, who also finished with one goal and one assist, Kyle Crane, who also racked up one goal and one assist, Nicholas Minerva, who also tallied one goal and one assist, and Anthony Carbone, who also grabbed one goal and two assists. Others who scored for Philadelphia included Connor Bechtel, who had one and Joseph Keenan, who had four. In addition, Philadelphia received assists from Zachary England, who had three, Benjamin Orlowski, Clint Aussprung, Donald Willier, Daniel Coley, Ethan Weiss, Jared Burch, and Alex Dyer, who each chipped in one, and William Hayden and Jamie Crane, who contributed two a piece.

Buffalo was led by Tyler States, who scored the team's only goal. States scored 33 seconds into the second period to make the score 2-1 Philadelphia. Tyler Furst provided the assist.

Burch rejected 17 shots on goal for the Revolution. Philadelphia incurred 14 minutes in penalty time with seven minors. Fenton recorded 31 saves for the Stars. Buffalo incurred six minutes in penalty time with three minors.
