Oliver's big game bests Irondale in 3-1 North High winPolar Arena Sat, Nov 24, 2012 Justin Oliver was all over the ice for the North High Polars, as he tallied two goals and one assist in North High's 3-1 win over the Irondale Knights. Oliver found the back of the net 11:27 into the third period to make the score 2-1 North High and again while 16:20 into the third to make the score 3-1 North High.The Polars' Mario Bollman was a brick wall in net, as he came up with 37 saves and let only one puck past him. Despite the solid performance, Bollman will actually see his goals against average rise, as it stood at 1.18 entering the contest. Adan Hildebrandt also scored for North High. In addition, North High received assists from Jake Dahlberg, who had one. Irondale excelled on the penalty kill, not giving up a single goal in four chances. The Knights' offense rang up 38 shots on North High's net. Irondale was led by Barrett Reif, who scored the team's only goal. Reif scored 14:16 into the second period to make the score 1-0 Irondale. Kyle O Connor picked up the assist. The Polars incurred eight minutes in penalty time with four minors. Esko Aukee rejected 26 shots on goal for the Knights. Irondale incurred 12 minutes in penalty time with six minors. |
