Delano/Rockford rolls over Blake School, 6-3Blake School Ice Arena Sat, Nov 24, 2012 The Delano/Rockford Tigers had a two-goal lead after two periods and cruised the rest of the way en route to a 6-3 win over the Blake School Bears. Eric Ylitalo was all over the ice for Delano/Rockford, as he tallied two goals and one assist in the win. Ylitalo scored the first of his two goals at 10:48 into the second period to make the score 3-0 Delano/Rockford. Justin Oja provided the assist. Ylitalo's next tally made the score 4-1 Delano/Rockford with 18:22 left in the third period. The Tigers earned a power play opportunity when Johnny Ferguson was put in the box for high sticking. Delano/Rockford pulled out the victory even though it was hit with 14 penalty minutes. The Tigers forced Blake School goalie Jackson Norris to work between the pipes, taking 37 shots. Delano/Rockford also got points from Oja, who also registered two goals and one assist. Jack Nelson also scored for Delano/Rockford. Other players who recorded assists for Delano/Rockford were Chad Oja, who had one. The Bears were helped by Cade Gleekel, who racked up two goals. Gleekel scored the first of his two goals on the power play at 11:26 into the second period to make the score 3-1 Delano/Rockford. Blake School had taken the advantage when Delano/Rockford's Oja got sent off for high sticking. Mark Lyman assisted on the tally. Gleekel's next tally on the power play made the score 5-3 Delano/Rockford with 7:21 left in the third period. Lyman provided the assist. Blake School additionally got points from Christopher Chute, who also had one goal and one assist. In addition, Blake School received assists from Peter Hildreth, who had one. Brett Norling rejected 26 shots on goal for the Tigers. Delano/Rockford registered two goals on five power play opportunities. The Bears' Norris stopped 31 shots out of the 36 that he faced. Blake School totaled 13 minutes in penalty time with four minors and one major and went 1-for-7 on the power play.
