Wahlin leads White Bear Lake over Park of Cottage Grove, 5-2

Behind a great game by Jake Wahlin, who had two goals and one assist, the White Bear Lake Bears defeated the Park of Cottage Grove Wolfpack, 5-2.

Wahlin found the back of the net 7:03 into the first period to make the score 1-0 White Bear Lake and again while 12:35 into the first to make the score 2-0 White Bear Lake.

White Bear Lake's penalty kill excelled, as the Bears gave up one goal despite allowing nine power plays.

White Bear Lake was often in penalty trouble, totaling nine minors and one major for 33 minutes in penalty time. The total exceeded the 12.0 minutes per game the Bears had been spending in the box. With 35 shots on target during the contest, White Bear Lake exceeded the 2.6 shots it averages per game this year.
