Lake of the Woods/Indus falls to Kittson Central in overtime, 4-3 (OT)

The Kittson Central Wolfpack's Billy Thorsteinson scored 7:09 into overtime to beat the Lake of the Woods/Indus Bears, 4-3 (OT).

Kittson Central nearly gave up a two-score lead. The Wolfpack made the score 3-1 on a goal by Kyle Petersburg at 5:04 in the third period. Lake of the Woods/Indus pulled to within 3-2 on a goal by Victor Dahl at 8:00 in the third period.

Petersburg had two goals to lead Kittson Central to victory.

The Wolfpack's penalty kill was spotless, allowing no goals on four Lake of the Woods/Indus power plays. Kittson Central forced the Bears goalie Kyle Olson to work between the pipes, taking 37 shots.

Kittson Central also got a goal from Nick Kasprowicz as well. In addition, Kittson Central received assists from Anders Lindegard, who had two and Alex Strege, Jordan Rynning, and Dalton Klegstad, who each chipped in one.

Lake of the Woods/Indus' offense rang up 41 shots on the Wolfpack's net.

The Bears were helped by Cole Nelson, who finished with one goal. Nelson scored 4:27 into the third period to make the score 2-1 Kittson Central. Cole Sugden also scored for Lake of the Woods/Indus. Other players who recorded assists for Lake of the Woods/Indus were Kalvin Krause, who had two and Blake Olson and Evan Torgeson, who contributed one a piece.

Kittson Central's Tucker Cosley stopped 38 shots out of the 41 that he faced. The Wolfpack incurred eight minutes in penalty time with four minors. Olson rejected 33 shots on goal for Lake of the Woods/Indus. The Bears ended with 13 minutes in penalty time with four minors and one major.
