Bagley/Foston uses big second period to beat Moose Lake Area, 7-2

The Moose Lake Area Rebels was within striking distance after one period, but the Bagley/Foston Flyers put the pedal down in the second en route to a 7-2 victory.

Aaron Leintz was all over the ice for Bagley/Foston, as he grabbed five goals in the win. Leintz notched his first tally 14:18 into the first period. He then added goals at 46 seconds into the second, at 13:31 into the second, at 16:21 into the second, and at 15:50 into the third.

Bagley/Foston also got points from Sean LaVine, who also registered one goal and two assists. Bagley/Foston also got a goal from Torrey Swenson as well. Other players who recorded assists for Bagley/Foston were Christopher Clark, who had three and Brady Anderson and Christian Larson, who each chipped in one.

Moose Lake Area kept the Flyers' goalie busy throughout the game, and Kenneth Davis made 54 saves on 56 shots. The Rebels' defensemen played an important role in the offense, chipping in two goals.

Moose Lake Area was led by Cole Lower, who finished with two goals. Lower scored the first of his two goals on the power play at 6:10 into the first period to make the score 1-0 Moose Lake Area. Zach Paull assisted on the tally. Lower's next tally on the power play made the score 6-2 Bagley/Foston with 17:34 left in the third period. Cameron Schmidt picked up the assist.

Bagley/Foston avoided the penalty box for the entire game and scored three goals off of zero power plays. The Rebels' Gage Mohelsky stopped 19 shots out of the 26 that he faced. Moose Lake Area ended with no penalties and went 2-for-0 on the power play.
