Northern Lakes rips Bagley/Foston, 7-2Breezy Point Ice Arena Thu, Dec 13, 2012 The Northern Lakes Lightning were firing on all cylinders against the Bagley/Foston Flyers, and when the final buzzer sounded Lightning emerged with a 7-2 win. Aspen Florey had two goals and two assists to lead Northern Lakes. Florey scored the first of his two goals at 4:21 into the second period to make the score 3-0 Northern Lakes. Gaven Bickford assisted on the tally. Florey's next tally made the score 4-0 Northern Lakes with 12:23 left in the second period. An elbowing call on Ben Moe put the Lightning on the penalty kill. Northern Lakes forced Bagley/Foston goalie Kenneth Davis to work between the pipes, taking 41 shots. The Lightning's goal total was higher than their season average. Northern Lakes has scored at the pace of 3.9 goals per game during the current campaign. Kyle Narveson also scored for Northern Lakes. In addition, Northern Lakes received assists from Kegan Couture, who had three and Dalton Rickard and Damian Jensen, who each chipped in one. Sean LaVine picked up the assist. Mitch Stangel made 26 saves for the Lightning on 28 shots. Northern Lakes incurred four minutes in penalty time with two minors.
