Hudson, WI survives Red Wing comeback, wins 5-3

The Red Wing Wingers tried to dig themselves out of a three-goal hole, but Hudson, WI held on for a 5-3 victory.

A goal by Carter Shuett put Hudson, WI up 5-2 in the third period, but Red Wing pulled to within two on Alex Rezansoff's tally 10:56 into the third period.

Hudson, WI was paced by Wyatt Dove, who registered one goal. Dove scored 2:09 into the third period to make the score 4-2 Hudson, WI. Adam Lipps assisted on the tally.

Hudson, WI could not stay out of the penalty box, as the team accrued 14 minutes in penalties during the game.

Hudson, WI also got points from Lipps, who also had one goal and one assist to lead the team in points. Hudson, WI also got a goal from Jack Cerenohous as well. Other players who recorded assists for Hudson, WI were Parker Shefveland, who had two.

The Wingers excelled on the penalty kill, not giving up a single goal in three chances.

Red Wing was helped by Dylan Goggin, who racked up one goal. Goggin scored 15:26 into the second period to make the score 3-2 Hudson, WI. Anthony Kimmes picked up the assist. Kyle LaPorte also scored for Red Wing. More assists for Red Wing came via Tyler Rea and Michael Bigelbach, who each chipped in one.

Josh Mattis recorded 23 saves for Hudson, WI. The Wingers' Preston Blaney stopped 20 shots out of the 25 that he faced. Red Wing incurred six minutes in penalty time with three minors.
