Somerset WI rolls over St. Paul Johnson, 4-0

The St. Paul Johnson Governors had trouble finding ways to stop Somerset WI, which beat Governors, 4-0.

Somerset WI was led by Drew Kelly, who grabbed one goal and one assist. Kelly scored 5:27 into the first period to make the score 1-0 Somerset WI. Logan Wiedrin assisted on the tally.

Somerset WI put up an impenetrable defensive front on the penalty kill, and did not allow St. Paul Johnson to score on any of its four power plays. Somerset WI featured an improved defense during the game. Somerset WI averages 2.7 goals allowed per game.

Somerset WI also got points from Jesse Brown, who also registered one goal and two assists to lead the team in points and Reed Kelly, who also tallied one goal and one assist. Aaron Moore also scored for Somerset WI. In addition, Somerset WI received assists from Adam Marty, who had one.

The Governors' penalty kill was spotless, allowing no goals on four Somerset WI power plays. St. Paul Johnson's offense operated below it season average. The Governors put an average of 3.1 pucks into the net per game.
