Monticello/Annandale/Maple Lake erases deficit to stun Buffalo, 4-3

The Monticello/Annandale/Maple Lake Moose climbed out of a three-goal hole to beat the Buffalo Bison, 4-3.

Monticello/Annandale/Maple Lake never led in the game until netting the game winner. The Moose fell behind 3-0 after a goal by Buffalo's Cale Ehresmann at 14:11 in the first period. Monticello/Annandale/Maple Lake knotted things up at 3-3 on a power play goal by Oliver Winsor at 5:32 in the second period. The Moose got the game winner at 11:41 in the second period on a goal by Winsor.

Monticello/Annandale/Maple Lake was led by Reece Carstens, who had one goal and one assist.

Monticello/Annandale/Maple Lake also got points from Drew Brockman, who also racked up one goal and one assist and Winsor, who also registered one goal and one assist. Monticello/Annandale/Maple Lake also got a goal from Robbie Stromme as well. In addition, Monticello/Annandale/Maple Lake received assists from Spencer Nelson, who had two.

The Bison were helped by Gunnar Goodmanson, who tallied one goal. Goodmanson scored on the power play 4:45 into the first period to make the score 1-0 Buffalo. Buffalo had gotten the advantage when the Moose's Winsor was sent off for tripping. Justin Laven provided the assist. Buffalo additionally got points from Ehresmann, who also finished with one goal and one assist to lead the team in points. Jerame Schueltzle also scored for Buffalo. Other players who recorded assists for Buffalo were Hunter Bruhn and Dylan Kumlin, who each chipped in one.

Darien Jones made 19 saves for Monticello/Annandale/Maple Lake on 22 shots. The Moose totaled 25 minutes in penalty time with five minors and one major and went 1-for-2 on the power play. Mikey Otten rejected 21 shots on goal for the Bison. Buffalo incurred 10 minutes in penalty time with five minors.
