Monticello/Annandale/Maple Lake wins tough contest against Rogers, 3-2Monticello Arena Thu, Jan 17, 2013 The game between the Monticello/Annandale/Maple Lake Moose and the Rogers Royals was tight through all 60 minutes, but in the end Monticello/Annandale/Maple Lake emerged with a 3-2 win. No lead was more than two goals during the contest, and the winning goal was scored by Reece Carstens at 13:34 of the third period. The Moose racked up the penalties in the contest, and ended with 13 minors and one major for 41 minutes in penalty time. Monticello/Annandale/Maple Lake surpassed its season average of 13.0 penalty minutes per game. The Moose found themselves stymied offensively, and got off a mere 11 shots against Rogers' defense. Monticello/Annandale/Maple Lake was led by Robbie Stromme, who finished with two goals. Stromme scored the first of his two goals at zero seconds into the first period to make the score 1-0 Monticello/Annandale/Maple Lake.
