The East Grand Forks Green Wave scored four goals in the second period to pull away from Grand Forks Central, ND and clinch a 6-1 win.

East Grand Forks got the win on the strength of a great game by Tanner Tweten, who had two goals and one assist. Tweten scored the first of his two goals at zero seconds into the first period to make the score 1-0 East Grand Forks. Grant Loven provided the assist. Tweten's next tally made the score 5-0 East Grand Forks with 20:00 left in the second period. Loven assisted on the tally.

The Green Wave's offense rang up 43 shots on Grand Forks Central, ND's net.

East Grand Forks also got points from Dixon Bowen, who also finished with one goal and two assists, Kolton Aubol, who also registered one goal and two assists, and Loven, who also grabbed one goal and two assists to lead the team in points. East Grand Forks also got a goal from Tye Ausmus as well. Grand Forks Central, ND found itself stymied offensively, and got off a mere nine shots against East Grand Forks' defense.
