Huge game by Lassila boosts International Falls over North Shore, 9-0

Behind a great game by Erik Lassila, who had two goals and three assists, the International Falls Broncos defeated North Shore, 9-0.

Lassila's tallies came at 14:55 into the first period to make the score 2-0 International Falls and 2:30 into the second to make the score 3-0 International Falls.

International Falls forced North Shore goalie Zach Duresky to work between the pipes, taking 46 shots. The Broncos outdid their season average for goals scored. International Falls has scored at the pace of 3.4 goals per game during the current campaign. The Broncos' defensemen played an important role in the offense, chipping in two goals.

International Falls also got points from Kyler Schneider, who also racked up one goal and two assists, Lucas Debenedet, who also grabbed two goals and one assist, and Luke Spilde, who also finished with one goal and two assists. International Falls also got a goal from Derek White as well. More assists for International Falls came via Evan Holenko, who had one and Nick Anderson, who had three.

North Shore was held below its usual level of production. North Shore puts an average of 4.4 pucks into the net per game.

International Falls' Wesley Gunnerson stopped 18 shots out of the 18 that he faced. The Broncos incurred four minutes in penalty time with two minors. Zach Duresky made 37 saves for North Shore on 46 shots. North Shore incurred six minutes in penalty time with three minors.
