South St.Paul hangs on, beats Henry Sibley 1-0

The South St.Paul Packers took the lead against the Henry Sibley Warriors in the first period and maintained it until the end of the game to secure a tight 1-0 victory.

South St.Paul took over the lead for good with a goal by Tommy Wisneski at 34 seconds in the first period. Alec Miller provided the assist.

The Packers were boosted by Grant Amelse, who turned in a shutout with 27 saves. Amelse managed to improve on his goals against average, which stood at 5.88 prior to the game.

South St.Paul was sparked by Wisneski, who had one goal.

The Packers' penalty kill was spotless, allowing no goals on three Henry Sibley power plays. Henry Sibley was unable to stop South St.Paul from sending pucks towards the net, and the Packers eventually piled up 34 shots on goal.

More assists for South St.Paul came via Jake Hill, who had one.
