The Mahtomedi Zephyers relied on the sparkling performance of Colin Denis in net to grab a 4-1 win against the South St.Paul Packers.

Mahtomedi was sparked by Matt Bonine, who finished with one goal and one assist. Bonine scored 15:26 into the first period to make the score 2-0 Mahtomedi. Jake Erickson picked up the assist.

Others who scored for Mahtomedi included Jack Becker, who had one and Trevor Keeney, who had two. In addition, Mahtomedi received assists from Kellen Campbell, Mac Rathmanner, and Sam Krawczyk, who contributed one a piece.

Denis recorded 29 saves for the Zephyers. Mahtomedi finished the contest with no penalties and went 0-for-0 with the man advantage. South St.Paul's Grant Amelse stopped 25 shots out of the 29 that he faced. The Packers avoided the penalty box for the entire game and scored one goal off of zero power plays.
