Amelse leads South St.Paul to shutout victory over Henry Sibley

The South St.Paul Packers used a sparkling performance by Grant Amelse to take down the Henry Sibley Warriors, as the netminder did not allow a goal in South St.Paul's 1-0 shutout victory.

Tommy Wisneski's game-winning tally was the game's only goal. It came at 34 seconds in the second period. Alec Miller assisted on the tally.

The Packers were paced by Wisneski, who had one goal.

South St.Paul stifled Henry Sibley's power play, and did not give up a single goal while down a man. The Packers kept the Warriors' goalie busy throughout the game, and Cody Dornbusch made 34 saves on 35 shots.

In addition, South St.Paul received assists from Jake Hill, who had one.

Henry Sibley's penalty kill was spotless, allowing no goals on three South St.Paul power plays. The Warriors' offense operated below they season average. Henry Sibley puts an average of 2.8 pucks into the net per game.

Grant Amelse made 26 saves for South St.Paul on 26 shots. The Packers incurred 18 minutes in penalty time with four minors. The Warriors incurred six minutes in penalty time with three minors.
