International Falls blows out North Shore, 6-0

The International Falls Broncos had a five-goal lead after two periods and cruised the rest of the way en route to a 6-0 win over North Shore.

International Falls was led by Jack Mellstrom, who tallied one goal. Mellstrom scored 1:31 into the first period to make the score 1-0 International Falls. Lucas Debenedet assisted on the tally.

The Broncos featured an improved defense during the game. International Falls allows 2.9 goals per game. The Broncos forced North Shore goalie Zach Duresky to work between the pipes, taking 53 shots.

International Falls additionally got points from Kyler Schneider, who also had one goal and one assist, Debenedet, who also grabbed two goals and one assist to lead the team in points, and Luke Spilde, who also registered one goal and one assist. International Falls also got a goal from Jordan Tilander as well. Other players who recorded assists for International Falls were Jakob Eide, who had two and Alex Kennedy, Derek White, Jackson Vollom, and Nick Anderson, who each chipped in one.

North Shore could not produce up to it normal offensive output. North Shore averages 4.1 goals per game.

International Falls' Wyatt Ulrich stopped 15 shots out of the 15 that he faced. The Broncos incurred four minutes in penalty time with two minors. Zach Duresky made 47 saves for North Shore on 53 shots. North Shore totaled 15 minutes in penalty time with five minors and one major and went 0-for-2 on the power play.
