Glienke's hat trick boosts Eagan over Hibbing / Chisholm, 9-2

The Hibbing / Chisholm Bluejackets could not stop the Eagan Wildcats' Zach Glienke, who tallied a hat trick in a 9-2 win.

Glienke notched his first tally 4:48 into the first period. He then added goals at 11:49 into the first and at 7:26 into the second.

Eagan's penalty kill excelled, as the Wildcats gave up zero goals despite allowing six power plays.

Eagan stifled Hibbing / Chisholm's power play, and did not give up a single goal while down a man. The Wildcats' offense rang up 41 shots on the Bluejackets' net. Eagan's goal total was higher than its season average. The Wildcats average 5.6 goals per game. Eagan could not stay out of the penalty box, as the team accrued 14 minutes in penalties during the game.

Eagan also got points from Nick Wolff, who also registered one goal and one assist, Cullen Willox, who also tallied one goal and two assists, Josh Loew, who also had one goal and one assist, and Jack Jenson, who also racked up two goals and one assist. Eagan also got a goal from Kyle Stebbing as well. Other players who recorded assists for Eagan were Zach Schultz, who had three and Tommy Muck and Jesse Gabrielle, who each chipped in two.

The 15 shots that Hibbing / Chisholm put on net surpassed the Bluejackets' average of 0.8 shots per game this season. Hibbing / Chisholm's penalty killing units received substantial work throughout the game as the Bluejackets finished with 16 penalty minutes.

Hibbing / Chisholm was helped by Cole Maki, who registered one goal and one assist. Maki scored 7:57 into the first period to make the score 2-1 Eagan. Adam Johnson picked up the assist. Josh Bestul also scored for Hibbing / Chisholm. In addition, Hibbing / Chisholm received assists from Derek Abrahamson, who had one.

Andrew Lindgren recorded 13 saves for the Wildcats. Eagan registered one goal on five power play opportunities. The Bluejackets' Tyler Carlson stopped 32 shots out of the 41 that he faced.
