Virginia/Mountain Iron-Buhl survives Hutchinson comeback, wins 5-4Miners Memorial Building Fri, Jan 18, 2013 The Virginia/Mountain Iron-Buhl Blue Devils came close to giving away a three-goal lead to the Hutchinson Tigers, but did just enough to escape with a 5-4 victory. Virginia/Mountain Iron-Buhl led by three goals at one point and ended with the victory. The largest advantage in the game came when the Blue Devils' Zach Voss's scored at 3:57 in the second period to put Virginia/Mountain Iron-Buhl up 4-1. The Blue Devils' penalty kill was spotless, allowing no goals on three Hutchinson power plays. Virginia/Mountain Iron-Buhl forced Hutchinson goalie Zach Allen to work between the pipes, taking 31 shots. The Blue Devils surpassed their usual scoring output this season.
