MacKenzie Steele made 31 saves to complete the shutout and led the Detroit Lakes Lakers to a 2-0 win against the Northern Lakes Lightning.

Detroit Lakes was led by Sam Bergren, who finished with one goal. Bergren scored 4:02 into the second period to make the score 1-0 Detroit Lakes. Brady Crawford provided the assist.

The Lakers stifled Northern Lakes' power play, and did not give up a single goal while down a man.

Johnathan Hallisey also scored for Detroit Lakes. More assists for Detroit Lakes came via Michael Hermann and Austin Rusness, who each chipped in one.

The Lightning put up an impenetrable defensive front on the penalty kill, and did not allow Detroit Lakes to score on any of its seven power plays.
