Little Falls blows out Northern Lakes, 6-1

The Little Falls Flyers had a four-goal lead after two periods and cruised the rest of the way en route to a 6-1 win over the Northern Lakes Lightning.

Little Falls was led by Thomas Miller, who tallied one goal. Miller scored 4:42 into the first period to make the score 2-0 Little Falls.

The Flyers put up an impenetrable defensive front on the penalty kill, and did not allow Northern Lakes to score on any of its three power plays. Little Falls forced the Lightning goalie Mitch Stangel to work between the pipes, taking 38 shots.

Others who scored for Little Falls included Austin Fenske, who had two and Ben Newman, who had three. More assists for Little Falls came via Mack Anez, who had four and Spencer Fenske and August Maciej, who each chipped in one.

Northern Lakes could not produce up to it normal offensive output. The Lightning put an average of 3.1 pucks into the net per game.

Northern Lakes was led by Kyle Narveson, who scored the team's only goal. Narveson scored 1:30 into the second period to make the score 2-1 Little Falls. Nick Blanchette provided the assist.

Michael Stumpf rejected 14 shots on goal for the Flyers. Little Falls incurred six minutes in penalty time with three minors. Stangel recorded 32 saves for the Lightning. Northern Lakes incurred four minutes in penalty time with two minors.
