Bagley/Foston squeaks by Ely/Northeast Range, 5-3

The Bagley/Foston Flyers and the Ely/Northeast Range Timberwolves were evenly matched throughout their contest, but Bagley/Foston made the most of its opportunities and won, 5-3.

No lead was more than two goals during the contest, and the winning goal was scored by Aaron Leintz at 10:45 of the second period.

The Flyers were led by Leintz, who racked up one goal.

Bagley/Foston additionally got points from Brady Anderson, who also had one goal and one assist, Sean LaVine, who also grabbed one goal and two assists to lead the team in points, and Iver Papke, who also tallied one goal and one assist. Bagley/Foston also got a goal from Taylor McCollum as well.

Ely/Northeast Range forced Bagley/Foston goalie Andrew Gebhardt to work between the pipes, taking 49 shots.

The Timberwolves were helped by Ryan Mahoney, who finished with one goal. Mahoney scored 5:33 into the first period to make the score 2-1 Ely/Northeast Range. Louis Gerzin picked up the assist. Joe Wenzel also scored for Ely/Northeast Range. Other players who recorded assists for Ely/Northeast Range were Andy Krunkkala and Patrick Kerntz, who each chipped in one.

Gebhardt rejected 46 shots on goal for the Flyers. Bagley/Foston incurred eight minutes in penalty time with four minors. Ely/Northeast Range's Kael Richards stopped 25 shots out of the 30 that he faced. The Timberwolves incurred four minutes in penalty time with two minors.
