The Moorhead Spuds tried their best to erase a two-goal deficit, but the Bemidji Lumberjacks would not be denied the victory and hung on to win, 4-3.

Bemidji made the score 4-2 on a goal by Matt Serratore at 1:55 in the third period, and Moorhead got as close as 4-3 when John OConnor scored 14:25 into the third period.

Bemidji also got a goal from Zach Ponser as well. Other players who recorded assists for Bemidji were Zach Sauer and Erik Fitzgerald, who each chipped in one.

With 34 shots on target during the contest, the Spuds exceeded the 1.2 shot they average per game this year.

Moorhead additionally got points from Aaron Herdt, who also tallied one goal and one assist to lead the team in points. Will Borgen also scored for Moorhead. More assists for Moorhead came via Z Holdgrewe, who had one.

Gabe Heifort recorded 31 saves for the Lumberjacks. Bemidji finished the contest with no penalties and went 0-for-0 with the man advantage. Jacob Dittmer made 21 saves for Moorhead on 25 shots. The Spuds ended with no penalties and went 0-for-0 on the power play.
