Roseau holds on for 4-2 win against Thief River Falls/Goodridge

The Thief River Falls/Goodridge Prowlers tried their best to erase a three-goal deficit, but the Roseau Rams would not be denied the victory and hung on to win, 4-2.

Roseau made the score 4-1 on a goal by Alex Strand at 14:50 in the third period, and Thief River Falls/Goodridge got as close as 4-2 when Isak Bergland scored 16:19 into the third period.

The Rams managed to stay out of the box better than usual, registering one minor for two minutes in penalty time. Roseau ended up below its season average of 9.0 penalty minutes per game. The Rams' offense rang up 49 shots on the Prowlers' net. Team's forwards weren't the only contributers offensively, and the team's defensemen showcased their scoring touch with two goals.

Roseau was led by Tanner Okeson, who grabbed one goal and two assists. Okeson scored 14:20 into the third period to make the score 3-1 Roseau. Alex Ziegler provided the assist. Roseau also got points from Strand, who also finished with one goal and one assist and Ziegler, who also registered one goal and one assist. Roseau also got a goal from Cole Bjugson as well. In addition, Roseau received assists from Conner Millner, Alex Halstensgard, and Brady Castle, who each chipped in one.

Thief River Falls/Goodridge kept the Rams' goalie busy throughout the game, and Ryan Anderson made 32 saves on 34 shots.

Other players who recorded assists for Thief River Falls/Goodridge were Kael Fontaine, who had one and Logan Engelstad, who had two.

Roseau registered zero goals on two power play opportunities. The Prowlers' Tanner Holmes stopped 45 shots out of the 49 that he faced. Thief River Falls/Goodridge incurred four minutes in penalty time with two minors.
