The Marshall School Duluth Hilltoppers tried their best to erase a four-goal deficit, but the Thief River Falls/Goodridge Prowlers would not be denied the victory and hung on to win, 4-2.

Thief River Falls/Goodridge made the score 4-0 on a goal by Kael Fontaine at 12:37 in the third period, and Marshall School Duluth got as close as 4-2 when Kris McKinzie scored 16:40 into the third period.

Logan Engelstad had one goal and two assists to lead the Prowlers. Engelstad scored on the power play 15:52 into the first period to make the score 1-0 Thief River Falls/Goodridge. Thief River Falls/Goodridge had gotten the advantage when the Hilltoppers' Derek Farrell was sent off for too many men. Chris Forney picked up the assist.

The Prowlers put up an impenetrable defensive front on the penalty kill, and did not allow Marshall School Duluth to score on any of its six power plays.
