The Moorhead Spuds pulled out a 4-3 (OT) overtime victory over the Roseau Rams on a clutch goal by Thomas Carey.

Moorhead was led by Carey, who had one goal and one assist. Carey scored 6:10 into overtime to make the score 4-3 Moorhead. Alex Mehnert provided the assist.

Roseau was unable to stop the Spuds from sending pucks towards the net, and Moorhead eventually piled up 36 shots on goal.

Moorhead additionally got points from Aaron Herdt, who also registered one goal and two assists to lead the team in points. Moorhead also got a goal from Tony Uglem as well. Other players who recorded assists for Moorhead were Nicholas Uglem and Grant Weiss, who each chipped in one.

The Rams forced the Spuds goalie Peter MacFarlane to work between the pipes, taking 31 shots.

Roseau was helped by Jack Helgeson, who tallied one goal. Helgeson scored 2:28 into the first period to make the score 1-1. Alex Halstensgard picked up the assist. Roseau also got points from Alex Strand, who also racked up one goal and one assist. Zach Yon also scored for Roseau. More assists for Roseau came via Tanner Okeson, who had one and Cole Bjugson, who had two.

MacFarlane recorded 28 saves for Moorhead. The Spuds incurred six minutes in penalty time with three minors. The Rams' Ryan Anderson stopped 32 shots out of the 36 that he faced. Roseau incurred four minutes in penalty time with two minors.
