Tartan stifles Henry Sibley's comeback, gains 6-4 victoryTartan Arena Thu, Jan 31, 2013 The Tartan Titans, who led by four goals at one point, survived a comeback attempt by Tartan and clinched a 6-4 victory. The Titans led by four goals at one point and ended with the victory. The largest advantage in the game came when Tartan's Michael Friberg's scored short handed at 9:20 in the second period to put the Titans up 5-1. Jake Jackson was all over the ice for Tartan, as he grabbed two goals in the win. Jackson found the back of the net short handed 59 seconds into the first period to make the score 1-0 Tartan and again while 51 seconds into the second to make the score 3-1 Tartan. The Titans kept the Henry Sibley Warriors' goalie busy throughout the game, and Cody Dornbusch made 37 saves on 43 shots. Others who scored for Tartan included Kevin Reddy, who had one and Eric Olheiser, who had two. More assists for Tartan came via Zach Ledman, who had three and Connor Simons, Jake Kurschner, Eric Reddy, Mike Winberg, and Brady OSullivan, who contributed one a piece. Henry Sibley avoided man-down situations well, registering one major for five minutes in penalty time. The Warriors finished below its season average of 11.0 penalty minutes per game. Henry Sibley was helped by Austin Westman, who racked up one goal and one assist. Westman scored on the power play 16:44 into the second period to make the score 5-3 Tartan. The Warriors had gained a power play chance when Olheiser was whistled for interference. Jack Coleman picked up the assist. Henry Sibley also got points from Ben Sather, who also registered one goal and one assist. Alex Restemayer also scored for Henry Sibley. Other players who recorded assists for Henry Sibley were T.J. Lang, Will Deitchler, and Colin Gallagher, who each chipped in one. Alex Meyers rejected 18 shots on goal for Tartan. The Titans totaled 13 minutes in penalty time with four minors and one major and had no power play opportunities. Henry Sibley registered two goals on four power play opportunities.
