St. Thomas Academy survives penalties, beats Marshall School Duluth, 4-1

Despite having to fight off several power plays, the St. Thomas Academy Cadets were able to defeat the Marshall School Duluth Hilltoppers, 4-1.

St. Thomas Academy was led by Henry Hart, who had one goal and one assist. Hart scored 3:46 into the first period to make the score 2-0 St. Thomas Academy. Alex Johnson provided the assist.

The Cadets excelled on the penalty kill, not giving up a single goal in six chances. St. Thomas Academy's offense rang up 36 shots on Marshall School Duluth's net.

St. Thomas Academy also got points from Tom Novak, who also grabbed one goal and one assist and Alec Broetzman, who also finished with one goal and one assist to lead the team in points. St. Thomas Academy also got a goal from Matt Perry as well. More assists for St. Thomas Academy came via T.J. Samec and Tony Bretzman, who each chipped in one.

David Zevnik rejected 20 shots on goal for the Cadets. St. Thomas Academy incurred 12 minutes in penalty time with six minors. The Hilltoppers' Caden Flaherty stopped 32 shots out of the 36 that he faced. Marshall School Duluth incurred 12 minutes in penalty time with six minors.
