The Blake School Bears had trouble finding ways to stop the Mahtomedi Zephyers, which beat Bears, 6-2.

Mahtomedi put up an impenetrable defensive front on the penalty kill, and did not allow Blake School to score on any of its five power plays. The Bears were unable to stop the Zephyers from sending pucks towards the net, and Mahtomedi eventually piled up 47 shots on goal.

The Zephyers were led by Kellen Campbell, who finished with two goals and two assists. Campbell scored the first of his two goals at 12:28 into the first period to make the score 2-1 Mahtomedi. Truman Slack picked up the assist. Campbell's next tally made the score 4-1 Mahtomedi with 20:00 left in the second period. Jack Becker provided the assist. Mahtomedi additionally got points from Becker, who also racked up one goal and two assists. McQuaid Boo also scored for Mahtomedi. More assists for Mahtomedi came via Jake Erickson, Mac Rathmanner, and Matt Bonine, who contributed one a piece.

Blake School was led by Crey Banks, who registered one goal. Banks scored 4:01 into the first period to make the score 1-0 Blake School. Blake School also got a goal from Mark Lyman as well. In addition, Blake School received assists from Cade Gleekel and Johnny Ferguson, who each chipped in one.

Colin Denis made 23 saves for Mahtomedi on 25 shots. The Zephyers incurred 12 minutes in penalty time with six minors. The Bears' Jackson Norris stopped 41 shots out of the 47 that he faced. Blake School incurred 10 minutes in penalty time with five minors.
