Spring Lake Park beats Henry Sibley 6-5 after comeback scareWest St. Paul Thu, Nov 29, 2012 The Spring Lake Park Panthers survived a determined comeback attempt by the Henry Sibley Warriors on the way to a 6-5 win. Spring Lake Park took a 4-2 lead during the third period, only to have Henry Sibley storm back on a Jack Coleman goal 1:56 into the third period to pull to one goal down. The Warriors were unable to stop the Panthers from sending pucks towards the net, and Spring Lake Park eventually piled up 38 shots on goal. The Panthers were helped by Brandon Richards, who finished with three goals. Spring Lake Park also got a goal from Austen Long as well. Other players who recorded assists for Spring Lake Park were Nick Heid, who had two and Skylar Fisher, Nick Turnquist, Jake Kroll, Sam Faulkner, and Deven Sunell, who each chipped in one. Henry Sibley additionally got points from Austin Westman, who also grabbed one goal and one assist. Ben Sather also scored for Henry Sibley. In addition, Henry Sibley received assists from Colin Gallagher, Cole Lucken, and Nick Cooper, who contributed one a piece. Brian Jones rejected 18 shots on goal for Spring Lake Park. The Panthers avoided the penalty box for the entire game and scored zero goals off of zero power plays. Cody Dornbusch recorded 32 saves for Henry Sibley. The Warriors ended with no penalties and went 2-for-0 on the power play.
