Sullivan's big game bests Bloomington Jefferson in 5-1 Eden Prairie win

John Sullivan had one goal and two assists to lead the Eden Prairie Eagles to a 5-1 victory over the Bloomington Jefferson Jaguars.

Sullivan scored 43 seconds into the second period to make the score 2-0 Eden Prairie. Mason Bergh assisted on the tally. Sullivan dished an assist on Bergh's goal that made the score 3-0 Eden Prairie at 14:18 into the second period. He added another helper on Hunter Warner's goal that made the score 5-1 Eden Prairie at 8:25 into the third period.

Eden Prairie's penalty kill was spotless, allowing no goals on four Bloomington Jefferson power plays. The Eagles' offense was clicking better than usual and put 45 shots on goal during the game, better than the 9.4 shots per game they average.

Eden Prairie additionally got points from Bergh, who also finished with one goal and two assists, Michael Graham, who also had one goal and one assist, and Steven Spinner, who also registered one goal and one assist. In addition, Eden Prairie received assists from Brady Schoo and Andy Aguilar, who each chipped in one.

Bloomington Jefferson's offense operated below it season average. The Jaguars average 3.8 goals per game.

Bloomington Jefferson was led by Zac Beek, who scored the team's only goal. Beek scored 2:49 into the third period to make the score 3-1 Eden Prairie. Jono Lindquist provided the assist.

Jake Gerdes made 17 saves for Eden Prairie on 18 shots. The Eagles incurred 10 minutes in penalty time with five minors. The Jaguars' Grant Martens stopped 40 shots out of the 45 that he faced. Bloomington Jefferson ended with 23 minutes in penalty time with four minors and one major.
