The Eden Prairie Eagles tried to dig themselves out of a two-goal hole, but the Lakeville North Panthers held on for a 4-3 victory.

A goal by Nick Poehling put Lakeville North up 4-2 in the second period, but Eden Prairie pulled to within one on Andrew Knudsen's tally 9:16 into the third period.

Poehling had one goal and two assists to lead the Panthers. Poehling scored 13:06 into the second period to make the score Lakeville North. Jack Poehling picked up the assist.

Lakeville North's offense rang up 33 shots on the Eagles' net.

Lakeville North additionally got points from Poehling, who also had one goal and one assist. Lakeville North also got a goal from Jack Sadek as well. Other players who recorded assists for Lakeville North were Jack Diercks, Ian Klotz, and Angelo Altavilla, who each chipped in one.

Eden Prairie forced the Panthers goalie Pierce Wilson to work between the pipes, taking 33 shots.

The Eagles were helped by Kyle Theilmann, who grabbed one goal. Theilmann scored 4:50 into the second period to make the score 2-2. John Sullivan assisted on the tally. Luc Snuggerud also scored for Eden Prairie. More assists for Eden Prairie came via Mason Bergh and Steven Spinner, who contributed one a piece.

Lakeville North's Wilson stopped 30 shots out of the 33 that he faced. The Panthers incurred 10 minutes in penalty time with five minors. Jake Gerdes made 29 saves for Eden Prairie on 33 shots. The Eagles incurred six minutes in penalty time with three minors.
