Eden Prairie survives Academy of Holy Angels comeback, wins 6-5Richfield Sat, Dec 08, 2012 The Eden Prairie Eagles survived a determined comeback attempt by the Academy of Holy Angels Stars on the way to a 6-5 win. Eden Prairie made the score 5-2 on a goal by Andrew Knudsen at 15:59 in the second period, and Academy of Holy Angels got as close as 5-4 when Mario Bianchi scored 14:27 into the third period. The Stars were unable to stop the Eagles from sending pucks towards the net, and Eden Prairie eventually piled up 54 shots on goal. The Eagles were led by Steven Spinner, who tallied three goals and one assist. Eden Prairie also got points from Knudsen, who also grabbed one goal and one assist. John Sullivan also scored for Eden Prairie. In addition, Eden Prairie received assists from Mason Bergh, who had three, Tyler Leddy and Michael Graham, who each chipped in one, and Luc Snuggerud and Colton Schmidt, who contributed two a piece. Academy of Holy Angels' offense operated below it season average. The Stars average 7.5 goals per game. Academy of Holy Angels additionally got points from Tommy Haeg, who also finished with two goals and one assist. Other players who recorded assists for Academy of Holy Angels were Frankie Mork, who had two and Marshall Barnes, who had three. Jake Kielly rejected 21 shots on goal for Eden Prairie. The Eagles incurred four minutes in penalty time with two minors. Zack Mains made 48 saves for Academy of Holy Angels on 53 shots. The Stars totaled 11 minutes in penalty time with three minors and one major and went 2-for-2 on the power play.
