Brooks Wineberg was all over the ice for the Chaska Hawks, as he tallied two goals and one assist in Chaska's 5-2 win over the Shakopee Sabers.

Wineberg's tallies came at 9:30 into the first period to make the score 1-1 and 9:26 into the second to make the score 3-1 Chaska.

The Hawks' penalty kill was spotless, allowing no goals on four Shakopee power plays. Chaska's offense rang up 55 shots on Shakopee's net.

Chaska also got points from Derek Annett, who also registered one goal and two assists and Andrew Henke, who also racked up one goal and one assist. Chaska also got a goal from Eric Maki as well. Other players who recorded assists for Chaska were Jake Halsne, Danny Urbanciz, Mitch Kirchoff, and Garrett Paulzine, who contributed one a piece.

The Sabers forced the Hawks goalie Blake Jackson to work between the pipes, taking 39 shots.

Shakopee was helped by Preston Husom, who had one goal. Husom scored 11:04 into the third period to make the score 4-2 Chaska. Sebastian Vacca provided the assist. Bubba Kubes also scored for Shakopee. In addition, Shakopee received assists from Sam Scott and Cullen Sievek, who each chipped in one.

Jackson rejected 37 shots on goal for Chaska. The Hawks incurred eight minutes in penalty time with four minors. Andrew Lyon recorded 50 saves for the Sabers. Shakopee incurred six minutes in penalty time with three minors.
