The Chanhassen Storm pulled out a 1-0 (OT) overtime victory over the Chaska Hawks on a clutch goal by Jake Bever.

Chanhassen was boosted by Harlin Paradise, who turned in a shutout with 34 saves.

Bever's game-winning tally was the game's only goal. It came at 5:36 in the fourth period. A cross checking penalty on Garrett Paulzine had put the Storm on the power play. Logan Wilkinson provided the assist.

Chanhassen excelled on the penalty kill, not giving up a single goal in three chances. Chaska was unable to stop the Storm from sending pucks towards the net, and Chanhassen eventually piled up 34 shots on goal.

In addition, Chanhassen received assists from Jake Theis, who had one.

The the Hawks penalty box was a popular destination as the team totaled seven minors and one major for 19 minutes in penalty time. The total exceeded the 9.0 minutes per game Chaska had been spending in the box. The Hawks were held below their usual level of production. Chaska puts an average of 3.4 pucks into the net per game. The Hawks' offense rang up 34 shots on the Storm's net.

Chanhassen incurred 12 minutes in penalty time with six minors. Blake Jackson made 33 saves for Chaska on 34 shots.
