Jones stymies Farmington, Northfield wins 2-1

The Northfield Raiders relied on the sparkling performance of Spencer Jones in net to grab a 2-1 win against the Farmington Tigers.

Northfield was led by Nathan Scofield, who grabbed one goal. Scofield scored 7:58 into the second period to make the score 2-1 Northfield. Logan VonRuden assisted on the tally.

The Raiders managed to stay out of the box better than usual, racking up one minor for two minutes in penalty time. Northfield ended up below its season average of 7.0 penalty minutes per game.

Alex Morsching also scored for Northfield. More assists for Northfield came via Nate Picha and Andrew Scofield, who each chipped in one.

Farmington did not reach the goal total it has come to expect this season. The Tigers put an average of 3.3 pucks into the net per game.

Farmington was led by Devin Bernu, who scored the team's only goal. Bernu scored 9:32 into the first period to make the score 1-0 Farmington. Jack Erickson picked up the assist.

Spencer Jones made 25 saves for the Raiders on 26 shots. Northfield registered zero goals on two power play opportunities. Gage Overby rejected 26 shots on goal for the Tigers. Farmington incurred four minutes in penalty time with two minors.
