Behind a great game by Nathan Scofield, who had two goals and one assist, the Northfield Raiders defeated the Albert Lea Tigers, 6-0.

Scofield found the back of the net 3:41 into the first period to make the score 1-0 Northfield and again while on the power play 15:58 into the second to make the score 5-0 Northfield.

Albert Lea fell victim to a deadly Northfield power play, which ripped the Tigers for four goals.

The Raiders stifled Albert Lea's power play, and did not give up a single goal while down a man. Northfield's defensive play was more effective than usual against the Tigers. The Raiders gives up 3.0 goals on average per game. Northfield forced Albert Lea goalie Lucas Malimanek to work between the pipes, taking 35 shots.

Northfield also got points from Logan VonRuden, who also registered one goal and three assists to lead the team in points, Andrew Scofield, who also tallied two goals and one assist, and Taylor Freiermuth, who also racked up one goal and one assist. More assists for Northfield came via Benjamin Papke, who had one and Andrew Carroll, who had two.

The Raiders' Spencer Jones stopped 20 shots out of the 20 that he faced. Northfield ended with 13 minutes in penalty time with four minors and one major. Lucas Malimanek made 29 saves for the Tigers on 35 shots. Albert Lea totaled 12 minutes in penalty time with one minor and two majors and went 0-for-5 on the power play.
