Eden Prairie rips Champlin Park, 8-1Eden Prairie Community Center Thu, Nov 29, 2012 The Eden Prairie Eagles had a six-goal lead after two periods and cruised the rest of the way en route to an 8-1 win over the Champlin Park Rebels. Steven Spinner had two goals and two assists to lead Eden Prairie. Spinner scored the first of his two goals at 5:46 into the second period to make the score 5-1 Eden Prairie. Spinner's next tally made the score 7-1 Eden Prairie with 7:25 left in the second period. Michael Graham provided the assist. The Eagles' penalty kill excelled, as Eden Prairie gave up zero goals despite allowing seven power plays. The Eagles stifled Champlin Park's power play, and did not give up a single goal while down a man. The Rebels were unable to stop Eden Prairie from sending pucks towards the net, and the Eagles eventually piled up 42 shots on goal. Eden Prairie could not stay out of the penalty box, as the team accrued 24 minutes in penalties during the game. Eden Prairie also got points from Jack Keeley, who also had one goal and one assist and Graham, who also registered two goals and one assist. Others who scored for Eden Prairie included Hunter Warner, who had one and Colton Schmidt, who had two. In addition, Eden Prairie received assists from Mason Bergh, who had two, Luc Snuggerud, who had three, and Brady Schoo, Tyler Leddy, Harry Pajor, and John Sullivan, who contributed one a piece. Champlin Park's penalty kill was spotless, allowing no goals on three Eden Prairie power plays. The Rebels were led by Luke Dahlman, who scored the team's only goal. Dahlman scored 12:24 into the first period to make the score 3-1 Eden Prairie. Bryce Plunkett assisted on the tally. Jake Kielly made 14 saves for the Eagles on 15 shots. Tyler Nelson rejected 34 shots on goal for Champlin Park. The Rebels incurred six minutes in penalty time with three minors.
