Academy of Holy Angels survives Chanhassen comeback, wins 5-3Victoria Thu, Feb 14, 2013 The Chanhassen Storm tried their best to erase a three-goal deficit, but the Academy of Holy Angels Stars would not be denied the victory and hung on to win, 5-3. Academy of Holy Angels made the score 5-2 on a goal by Frankie Mork at 2:46 in the third period, and Chanhassen got as close as 5-3 when Cody Seal scored 14:10 into the third period. The Stars' penalty kill was spotless, allowing no goals on six Chanhassen power plays. Academy of Holy Angels' defensemen played an important role in the offense, chipping in three goals. By firing 36 shots on goal, the Stars exceeded the 0.8 shots they average per game this year. Academy of Holy Angels was forced to rely heavily on their penalty kill unit throughout the game, as it racked up 14 penalty minutes. Academy of Holy Angels additionally got points from Marshall Barnes, who also finished with one goal and three assists to lead the team in points. Owen Larson also scored for Academy of Holy Angels. In addition, Academy of Holy Angels received assists from Justin Cover, who had one and Mario Bianchi, who had four. The Storm struggled to stay out of the sin bin throughout the game as they finished the game with 14 penalty minutes for six opposing power plays. Chanhassen also got points from Jake Bever, who also racked up one goal and two assists to lead the team in points. Other players who recorded assists for Chanhassen were Bryson Burkholder and Logan Wilkinson, who each chipped in one. The Stars' Zack Mains stopped 20 shots out of the 23 that he faced. Erik Anderson rejected 31 shots on goal for Chanhassen.
